Included with Texas · same exam pass
There is no separate Oklahoma question bank and no second subscription. The free test and Full Access are the Texas journeyman exam. Full Access is $19/month for the first exam. Each additional exam is +$10/month (two exams $29/mo, three $39/mo, four $49/mo). The subscription opens only the exams it covers. Cancel anytime.
This is the $19/month Texas exam. Oklahoma is included with it. Open the Texas page.
Oklahoma and Alabama use this exam pass. The subscription you can buy is Texas Journeyman at $19/month. Those two states share that bank and that price. Adding Oklahoma or Alabama is the same exam, so it stays $19/month for the first exam. The +$10 price is for a different exam, such as California when that checkout opens.
Use the free Texas test and, with Full Access, the rest of the Texas bank for the core code: services, branch circuits, grounding and bonding, conductors and overcurrent, motors, boxes and wiring methods, and the calculation work. Confirm every section in the book your state allows in the room.
The editions differ. This bank is the 2026 National Electrical Code. Texas references the 2026 NEC. Oklahoma’s PSI bulletin (effective September 11, 2026) writes the unlimited electrical journeyman exam to the 2023 NEC as adopted by the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission, plus 29 CFR 1926 and Ugly’s Electrical References. That exam is 100 scored items, 240 minutes, 70% to pass. Alabama’s Prov bulletin AL CIB 2026.10.27 writes Alabama Electrical Journeyman to the 2023 NEC and the American Electrician’s Handbook, 17th edition. That exam is 80 questions, 240 minutes, 75% to pass, open book. Load calculations sit in Article 220 in the 2023 NEC and in Article 120 in this 2026 bank.
License reciprocity is a separate fact from the practice bank. TDLR’s out-of-state page lists Oklahoma and Alabama among journeyman reciprocity states. The journeyman requirements on that page are: you passed the reciprocal state’s examination, you held that license at least one year, and you have at least 8,000 hours under a master electrician. TDLR’s March 20, 2026 announcement says the Alabama agreement, with the Alabama State Board of Electrical Contractors, covers journeyman and master licenses held in good standing for at least one year. Oklahoma’s Construction Industries Board lists Texas, says a reciprocal license cannot be a grandfathered license, and requires the license to have been held at least one year. These are two agreements with Texas. This page does not describe an Oklahoma–Alabama agreement.
A person applying for a first Oklahoma license takes Oklahoma’s exam. A person applying for a first Alabama license takes the exam the Alabama board approved. This subscription is practice on the shared NEC topics. It files no application and it issues no license. Oklahoma also licenses residential and refinery journeymen on different exams. Alabama’s bulletin also lists other exams, including a contractor exam and NASCLA exams. Confirm which exam your board approved.
The free test scores two portions at 70% because that is how the Texas exam is built. Texas exam facts has the Texas fee, the book, and the TDLR pass rates. Those rates are Texas figures.
