Services and Article 230
The service is the supply from the utility to the building disconnect. On an open-book exam, Article 230 is where you confirm which conductors are service conductors and where the service disconnect sits.
- Separate the service from the feeder. A feeder starts on the load side of the service disconnect. Mixing those two words sends you to Article 215 when the item was about Article 230.
